Chief Executive Officer
More than 30 years experience in international conservation, including working with Friends of the Earth and 12 years as Chief Executive of Fauna & Flora International. Set up the first TRAFFIC offices for IUCN. Author & broadcaster. John received an Honorary Doctorate from University Campus Suffolk in October 2012 in honour of his work for international environmental organisations.

Roger Wilson
Senior ConservationistRoger has a long association with the WLT, including as a Technical Advisor to Programme for Belize. Has been involved in conservation fieldwork for over 30 years and with forestry and restoration ecology projects for over 10 years, with extensive experience in West and Central Africa, Belize and other parts of Central America. Responsible for the co-ordination and direction of the WLT Conservation Programme, in collaboration with other senior staff and under the overall oversight of the CEO.

Kirsty Burgess
Conservation Programmes ManagerAn Ecology & Wildlife Management graduate who joined the WLT in 2000, Kirsty has been involved with many aspects of WLT’s conservation work, including the development of international projects. During this time, Kirsty played a key role in initiating of the first symposium for WLT’s partners in 2006, and now works to facilitate the Conservation Alliance, as well managing the WLT’s Buy an Acre programme. Kirsty has had a passion for tropical conservation ever since exploring the reefs, caves and mangroves of Malaysia in her childhood.

Chris Smith
Ecosystems Services ManagerAn Environmental Law and Sustainable Development postgraduate, with a background in auditing, financial accounting and more recently sustainable business development, Chris joined WLT in April 2012. He is a member of the Ecosystems Services team where he is responsible for the management and development of a portfolio of WLT's reforestation and REDD+ projects.

Conservation Programmes Manager - Currently on Maternity leaveA Tropical Environmental Science graduate who joined WLT in September 2008 after three years working in the UK ecological consultancy sector and volunteering on various conservation projects abroad. Primary contact for WLT’s Programme Partners in Asia and Africa and also responsible for development of new projects, particularly within this geographical focus

Charlotte Beckham
Conservation Programmes OfficerA zoology graduate, Charlotte gained a passion for wildlife conservation after volunteering on conservation projects in both Namibia and the UK. She joined WLT in July 2009 on a sixth month internship and then worked for nearly two years as Web Content and Information Officer before joining the programmes team. Charlotte is the primary contact for the Trust’s Central & South American Programme Partners and co-ordinates programmes within this geographical focus. Charlotte also manages WLT’s only project in the UK – Kites Hill

Robynne Lawley
Conservation Administrative AssistantA Geography postgraduate who, after volunteering on several conservation projects abroad, went on to work for environmental organisations mainly specialising in African projects and research into waste and recycling. She enjoys spending her free time with her family exploring the outdoors. Robynne joined WLT in March 2016 and provides administrative support to the Programmes team with a primary focus on the Carbon Balanced programme.

Letícia Jurema
Project Development AssistantA law graduate with a Masters in Environmental Governance: Natural World, Science and Society from the University of Essex. Letícia joined WLT in October 2013 as an intern to gain experience in conservation. For her dissertation project she researched land purchase as a conservation tool in Ecuador (including a self-funded visit to WLT project partners NCEcuador), where she learned how important the participation of local communities is in achieving long term conservation for protected areas. Leticia provides general assistance to the entire programmes team at WLT, manages the NGO Books for Conservation Programme and also helps coordinate the Keepers of the Wild Programme. Outside of work she enjoys outdoor activities; especially cycling and football.

Vivien Burton
Director of Communications & DevelopmentOffice Manager for Fauna & Flora International for seven years. Worked as Conservation Assistant for Sir Peter Scott in his capacity as Chairman of IUCN’s Species Survival Commission. Has acted as Rapporteur for SSC Meetings and several CITES Conference of the Parties Meetings including New Delhi, Gaborone and Buenos Aires. Has worked with WLT since its inception and helped its development from the early days of Programme for Belize.

Christina Ballinger
Head of Communications & MarketingChristina Ballinger relocated to Suffolk from Somerset in 2012, after 15 years in organic farming and the local food sector. Prior to that she was a magazine journalist, and she is now enjoying writing and editing for the Trust.

Dan Bradbury
Head of DevelopmentJoined the WLT team in January 2013 after spending many years working for an FMCG supplier as their Graphics manager. In this role he was also involved in the management of their digital media. Away from work he loves nothing more than to be outdoors. He has a lifelong interest in wildlife and is a keen birder.

Kelly Jacobs
Education & Outreach ManagerHas been developing and managing the Education and Wild Spaces programmes at World Land Trust since 2007. A Wildlife Conservation graduate with a Masters in Zoo Conservation Biology. Co-ordinates outreach activities and the World Land Trust internship programme. Has volunteered in the Philippines, Bonaire and South Africa. Happy to sit for hours -when not working- to catch a glimpse of an otter, badger or any other UK wildlife.

Karen Lowe
Donations ManagerWith a love of wildlife and the outdoors, Karen was delighted to join WLT's Donor Support team in October 2009. In her free time she loves being outside and can often be found walking around the woods or along the beach with her son and dog.

Claire Millard
Corporate Support ManagerClaire started work for WLT in 1996 and held various administrative roles until the birth of her first child in 2004. After a five year break she has recently returned to WLT on a part-time basis as Administrative Assistant to the CEO and Head of Communications. When not at work her time is spent bringing up her two young children, Ben and Olivia.

Anne Clifford
Special Communications OfficerAnne first joined the Trust in September 2003, and became WLT's Donations Manager. After taking maternity leave, she returned to the Trust as Fundraising and Analysis Officer on a part-time basis in 2011. She is now Special Communications Officer and is working on co-ordinating a legacy strategy and grant applications. Outside work, her time is divided between two young children and the family’s small farm, where conservation work is a priority.

Helen De Block
Gallery & Reception Co-ordinatorHelen joined World Land Trust in March 2013. She runs the World Land Trust Wildlife Art Gallery and manages the World Land Trust reception which is located in the Gallery. The gallery is managed in partnership with the Wildlife Art Gallery in Lavenham and exhibits their artwork, Helen works with them on day to day activities including sales.

Julia Warnes
Donations AssistantAfter ten years living overseas, Julia returned to her home in north Suffolk in October 2009. Having seen first hand rainforest being destroyed only to be replaced by Oil Palm plantations, Julia was very happy to join the donations department of WLT.

Ben Hammond
Editorial AssistantA journalism graduate, Ben joined the communication team of World Land Trust in February 2015. Ben generates news stories and content for WLT website, as well as managing WLT’s Facebook page. He is a keen photographer of wildlife and landscapes and he enjoys few things more than walking his dogs in the woods near his home.

Liz Stone
Director of FinanceJoined the team in September 2012 after relocating from the South West and taking some time off following the birth of her son. Liz has 13 years experience of working within the charity sector both in practice and within charities. Responsible for the running of the finances at WLT and its trading subsidiary. In her spare time Liz spends her time with her son and they enjoy being outside in the garden and playing.

Jenny Chattington
Head of Operations & Human ResourcesWorked for more than 20 years at the British Museum, initially as an editor, then managing the merchandise operation. Ran a garden centre before joining the Trust in May 2008. Responsible for the smooth running of day to day activities at WLT, with particular care of Human Resources, Health & Safety, and management of the premises. In her spare time gardening and the countryside are her overriding obsessions.

IT ManagerIT Graduate who joined World Land Trust in April 2012. With previous experience in IT roles, Emma is responsible for the day-to-day IT support and IT Infrastructure at WLT. A keen photographer, Emma enjoys spending her free time in the countryside and forests taking photos of wildlife.

Finance ManagerJoined the Accounts Department at WLT in November 2007. In her spare time, likes walking with her dog and spends time watching her children in their sporting activities. Also helps her parents maintain 10 acres of environmentally sensitive land.

Purchase Ledger ClerkMel joined the WLT Accounts team in February 2013. She has over 20 years experience working in an accounting environment. In her spare time she enjoys cycling, walking and visiting local places with her husband and two young children.

Clerical AssistantJoined WLT in April 2007 after having been manager of Holton Hall Park Caravan & County Wildlife Site for many years. Hobbies include walks with her four collies, worm farming (for organic gardening, composting and fishing) and gardening.

The McCluskey team began working with World Land Trust in their 25th Anniversary Year to increase awareness of their causes and therefore generate additional support through fundraising for the organisation. McCluskey International’s objectives focus on generating excitement and awareness of World Land Trusts’ achievements during the last 25 years and bringing attention to the work carried out by the organisation, including the urgent need to protect tropical forests and conservation intervention.

Visual Communications ConsultantFollowing a long career in the television industry and 8 years as a Steiner teacher, Claire joined World Land Trust on a part-time basis in March 2014, and provides support in all areas of visual communication. She swims in the North Sea every day.

PR AgencyEmma Beckett PR are a leading PR agency based in London and have worked with the World Land Trust (WLT) for ten years. Emma is passionate about the work of WLT and has helped leverage support and funding throughout the luxury community. Projects such as Emeralds for Elephants at Selfridges and Save It with a Scarf at Liberty are just two examples of how WLT have inspired luxury brands to raise funds for critically endangered habitats and their species.
Emma has worked in luxury PR for fifteen years so has known WLT for much of her career. Belize was the first WLT project area Emma visited in 2004 and has since travelled to many other WLT projects with press teams to see what is being achieved on the ground and make sure this is well documented within the national media. This relationship building with the media has also resulted in significant advertising support being donated for various WLT campaigns.

Luciano Breves
Web Multimedia ConsultantA Wildlife Filmmaker from Brazil who graduated in Communication. Luciano has produced short documentaries for non-profit organizations showing the importance of conservation. He is a pioneer in live streaming of wildlife in Brazil and created the Atlantic Rainforest webcam. Luciano works on the Wildlife Focus Website remotely from Brazil, regularly appearing on the webchat to answer your webcam questions.
